Kolkata, January 8: In a shocking incident, West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh recently ordered an ambulance to stop and asked its driver to divert the route, while he was addressing a crowd in a rally in Nadia. He said, "Divert the route of the ambulance as hundreds of people are sitting here. They (TMC) are doing it purposely. It's their tactic to disrupt this rally." The entire incident has been caught on camera
Following the JNU violence, Ghosh courted controversy for his statements where he called the attacks on students a 'staged' incident and claimed that it was not yet proved whether JNSU president Aishe Ghosh had real blood or only colour on her head. Ghosh had also recently stated that Communists had started getting thrashed in India and they "deserve" it. He was quoted saying, "It is right that communists have started getting beaten up in the country. Perhaps they deserve it. The way they have behaved through the decades, this is not unnatural," he said.
