New Delhi, January 10: The Delhi Police on Friday held a press conference to brief the media about ongoing investigations in the January 5 JNU violence case. Addressing the media, Delhi Police PRO MS Randhawa and DCP Crime Branch, Joy Tirkey, recalled the sequence of events leading to Sunday's violence in the campus. The police also named nine suspects in the press conference terming them responsible for the violence. While Police blamed Left front students for the violence, they also named ABVP students Vikas Patel and Yogendra Bhardwaj in the conference. In total, nine students were named by Delhi Police. The names of students mentioned are: Chunchun Kumar (Ex-student, JNU), Pankaj Mishra (School of Social Sciences (SSS), Aishe Ghosh (President JNUSU), Vaskar Vijay Mech (MA, SAA, JNU), Sucheta Talukdar (SFI, Councillor, JNU), Priya Ranjan (SLL&CS, JNU), Dolan Samanta (School of Social Science), Yogendra Bhardwaj (PhD Sanskrit, JNU) and Vikas Patel (MS Korean, JNU). Delhi Police said that they have not detained anyone but that notices will be served to those named in the press conference soon.
