Dera Sacha Sauda Follower, Mohinder Pal Singh Bittoo Lodged in Patiala's Nabha Jail Killed by Two Inmates
Dera Sacha Sauda follower Mohinder Pal Singh Bittoo was killed by two inmates in Nabha jail in Patiala on Saturday. Bittoo was the main accused in the Bargari sacrilege cases. One of the accused who attacked Bittoo has been identified as Gursewak Singh.
Patiala, June 22: Dera Sacha Sauda follower Mohinder Pal Singh Bittoo was killed by two inmates in Patiala's Nabha jail on Saturday. Bittoo was the main accused in the Bargari sacrilege cases. He was attacked by the two inmates at the Nabha jail at around 5 pm. After the attack, Bittoo was taken to a hospital in a serious condition where he was declared brought dead, reported India Today. One of the accused who attacked Bittoo has been identified as Gursewak Singh. However, the exact cause of the murder is not yet known. Bittoo was among 150 Dera followers, who were booked by the Panchkula Police for violence which took place after Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted for raping two of his followers in August 2017. The Dera follower was booked by police in June 2018 for alleged involvement in unlawful activities. He was arrested last year from Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Ram Rahim appealed for parole to Sunaria Jail authorities in Rohtak. According to reports, Ram Rahim applied for parole saying that he wants to farm his land in Sirsa. The appeal has been sent by the jail authorities to the district administration.
