Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Thursday due to a western disturbance. A total of 10 trains running towards Delhi are running late today due to low visibility.
New Delhi, February 14: Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Thursday due to a western disturbance. There was also a dip in the temperature in the national capital due to the rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted heavy rain, thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms and gusty winds at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on February 14. Meanwhile, a total of 10 trains running towards Delhi are running late today due to low visibility. In the past few days, North India was engulfed by a dense fog due which several trains were delayed. Yesterday too, 14 Delhi-bound trains were delayed.

The northern parts of the country are in for another cold spell with the weather office predicting "a fairly widespread to widespread" rain or snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh from Wednesday till Friday and over Uttarakhand for two days. On February 7, heavy rainfall accompanied with hailstones also hit plains of North India including Punjab and Delhi-NCR due to which temperatures in the region dipped considerably.
