New Delhi, March 19: The global transportation company Uber is in the news again for an incident that happened in the national capital. In the latest incident, a Delhi-based female journalist reported on Tuesday that an Uber cab driver had misbehaved with her. She took to social media handle to share the ordeal, after which her complaint was taken into account by Uber.
The journalist – Amrita Das – wrote about the rude behaviour of the driver and sought action against him. Das wrote, “Rude and creepy driver. I demand action. First he refused to turn on the air conditioner, then says garmi lag rahi hai to aage mere godi me baith jao [If you are feeling hot then come and sit on my lap]. He also ended the trip, moments after starting to drive and forced me out. Taking cognisance of the tweet, in which Uber was tagged, the transportation agency replied, “We're so sorry to hear about this. Our team has recently responded via email. Please reply there if you have additional questions.”

Meanwhile, the driver has been removed from the app pending investigation. An Uber spokesperson said, "What’s been detailed has no place on our platform. We have removed the individual’s access to the app pending a full investigation."
However, after the tweet was shared, mixed reactions were reported on the social media. Some social media users even state that these days fake complaints are also being made to gain the limelight.

Earlier too, complaints were registered against the Uber drivers and due to this, Delhi police and the administration had issued an advisory to the firm regarding appointment of drivers in the national capital.
