New Delhi, September 26: In another shocking incident of phone snatching, two bike-borne men snatched the mobile phone of a woman journalist in Okhla area in South-East Delhi. According to a CCTV footage released by ANI, the incident took place on  Monday, where two men on bike flicked the woman's phone while she was on her way home near West Block in Okhla. The woman named Radhika who works with a regional news agency, filed an FIR in this matter. In her complaint, the victim said the incident took place when she was on her way home in Govindpuri. "Two bike-borne miscreants came from behind, snatched my phone and sped away", she said. The incident occurred near West Block in Okhla. Police are verifying the CCTV footage and further investigation is currently underway in the case.

In the CCTV footage released by ANI, the two bike-borne assailants can be seen following Radhika, snatching her phone and speeding away from the spot. The woman is seen running behind the miscreants who manage to flee. The incident took place on September 23, the same day when another woman journalist, Joymala Bagchi, working with ANI, was attacked by bike-borne robbers. According to reports, Bagchi suffered injuries on her face and hand after she was attacked by the robbers in broad daylight. The men snatched her phone and managed to flee. Reports further inform that locals came to her rescue her after which she was later taken to a nearby hospital. On Tuesday, the department suspended three police officers as the action taken by them in the incident was not found to be “up to the mark”.An assistant sub-inspector and two constables were suspended, police said.
