New Delhi, July 23: At least two people have been killed and three have been injured after the roof of a house collapsed in Delhi's Harsh Vihar area on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place near Dwarka around 1 am on Sunday night. An investigation into the matter is underway.
The incident comes on the same day when a five-storey under-construction building collapsed in Ghaziabad around 3 PM. Two people have been killed and around nine people have been rescued so far by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team. A magisterial probe has also been initiated into the collapse of the illegal structure in the Akash Nagar area and four persons have been identified and will be taken into custody shortly.

Reports inform that the building was located in Akash Nagar area of the Masuri police station limits. District Magistrate Ritu Maheshwari said the building was being constructed illegally. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Earlier this month, a six-storey under-construction building collapsed on another five-storey building in Greater Noida. The twin building collapsed next to it in Shahberi village under Bisrakh police station area on Tuesday night. Five people have been arrested among the 25 named in the FIR. After the building collapse, authorities are now identifying buildings which have been illegally constructed in Shahberi village.
