Delhi: Spat Over Card Game Turns Fatal, 45-Year-Old Man Shot Dead on Diwali Night

New Delhi, November 8: A case of card game turning fatal on Diwali night was reported in the national capital, where a 45-year-old man was murdered by his friend over an argument which erupted during the game, police said on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Harish Sharma, had left his home on Wednesday night, after celebrating Deepavali with his family. While leaving, Sharma had informed his wife Sunita that he was going to meet his friend Raju Bhilwari. Diwali 2018 Turns Tragic in Bihar's West Champaran, Aurangabad; 5 Killed in Two Road Accidents.
According to the police, Bhilwari (32) shot Sharma dead as a spat between them turned ugly during the game of cards. The body was dumped by him, along with his accomplices, outside Maharaja Agrasen Hospital in west Delhi, in the wee hours of Thursday.
In her police complaint, Sunita had said narrated to the officials that her husband had left to meet Bhilwari. Based on the lead, the police took him into arrest and extracted his confession.
Apart from Bhilwari, six other accused were also arrested. They have been identified by news agency PTI as: Ram (33), Rajesh (29), Jitender Kumar (38), Harikant (38), Kuldeep (40) and Ramesh Kapoor (71). The gun used for Sharma's murder has also been seized, confirmed Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Monika Bhardwaj.
