New Delhi, October 15: A day after Delhi Police solved the snatching case of Prime Minister's niece, other snatching victims have taken to social media and have asked the police to be proactive in solving their cases as well. A Times of India report quotes a police data which says that only half of the snatching cases registered till September 30 have been cracked.

Damyanti Ben Modi, the niece of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was robbed by two bike-borne miscreants who fled with her purse. The incident took place near the Civil Lines in North Delhi on Saturday. Following the incident, the Delhi Police launched a manhunt and identified two criminals who snatched the handbag of Damyanti Ben Modi, daughter of PM Narendra Modi's brother. One of the accused was arrested. Here is another complaint:

The two accused involved in snatching the purse from the Prime Minister’s niece were not wearing helmets when they committed the crime, said DCP North Monika Bhardwaj on Sunday. Modi's niece had further added that it was unfortunate that the traffic police had not caught them beforehand for violating traffic norms before they carried out the crime. “Both the accused were without a helmet on the day of the incident. We generally have traffic personnel stationed in the area but unfortunately they were not there yesterday,” Bhardwaj said.

Even though police said that they solved the case without knowing that she is PM Narendra Modi's niece, but people are upset at the pace in which their cases are solved or attended to.
