New Delhi, November 5: India's national capital Delhi is covered in a thick blanket of smoke today, on Monday morning. The air continues to remain toxic in Delhi, with the quality of air deteriorating further.
The residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) have been advised to avoid all outdoor activities, keep medicines handy in case of respiratory diseases and curb the use of private cars and two-wheelers.

The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) on Monday said that overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was detected at 329, which falls in the ' very poor' category. An AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201-300 poor, 301-400 very poor and 401-500 severe or hazardous.
