Delhi Shocker: Two Killed After Car Runs Over Them on Footpath Near Rajouri Garden, Accused Arrested

New Delhi, Sep 9: At least two people have been killed and two others have been severely injured after a car ran over and crushed them in the national capital on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in front of ESI Hospital near Rajouri Garden today around 4.30 am. The accused has been apprehended by the Delhi Police.
Reports inform that the injured ones were taken to ESI Hospital. An injured was quoted by ANI saying that the car ran over them while they were sleeping. "We were sleeping on the footpath when a car hit us", the victim said. The Police has registered a case into the matter. The Police has initiated an investigation into the matter.
Earlier today, six people including two women and a child were killed in a road accident in Haryana's Rewari district. Police said that the car hit a road divider, then a tree and finally crashed into a truck on Jaipur-Delhi national highway. The accident occurred when the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle.
Another incident of a road accident was reported from Himachal Pradesh on Sunday where eight jawans were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle in Chattari in Kangra's Shahpur. SDM Shahpur informed that all the injured were rushed to the hospital.
