New Delhi, January 1: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old painter was beaten and stabbed to death by four for accidentally spilling putty which he was applying on the walls. According to a Hindustan Times report, apart from the men stabbing the victim on the stomach, they also attacked him with a wooden plank, a spade and bricks before dragging him down the stairs from the third floor of the building.
All the men were unemployed with no previous records of any cases against them. On Monday, he was painting a wall on the third floor of a building. He began the job by applying putty on the walls. The four accused were sitting on an empty piece of land next to the building, where the victim was painting. After some putty fell on them, they started abusing the painter and threatening him. According to an eye witness, who made an attempt to save the painter from the brutal attacks of the accused, "One man attacked him with a wooden plank studded with iron nails. Another attacked him with a spade lying nearby. A third person beat him with bricks, and then finally, the fourth one brought a knife out of his clothes and stabbed him in his stomach." A case of murder was registered against the accused.
