Delhi, November 8: The Delhi police recently arrested a man from the Narela Industrial area for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s father in the national capital. Police officials on Thursday, November 8, said that the accused killed the elderly man after the latter objected to their relationship. The deceased has been identified as Bachu Prasad Singh (62).

Cops said that the murder came to light after Singh's body was recovered from a truck parking area in Shahpur Garhi on Monday, November 7. The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhira Chaudhary (34), reports Indian Express. The alleged murder took place on October 20, when Chaudhary lured Singh to accompany him to a place where he offered the elderly man a job as a watchman. A police officer said that the accused took Bacchu with him and got him drunk before strangulating him to death. After killing his girlfriend's father, Chaudhary disposed of his body in a truck parking area in Shahpur Garhi.

The incident came to ligt when Pinky grew suspicious about her father after he did not return home. She questioned her boyfriend, Chaudhary, who confessed to killing her father. Post this, Pinky informed her brother Phul Kumar, who approached the police and lodged a complaint against his sister's boyfriend. During the preliminary investigation, cops found that Singh's family and the Chaudhary are natives of Bihar natives. The deceased is survived by his wife, Geeta, and three children.
