New Delhi, September 9: In a shocking incident in Delhi, a 38-year-old man, Mohammad Hanif, lost his life while trying to shield his son from a savage attack by a group of boys. The incident occurred in the Sanjay Colony area of Okhla Phase Two. The victim, who worked as a porter, was the father of four children, and two of his minor sons were also wounded in the altercation.

To his dismay, he found a group of four or five boys sitting on it, obstructing his way. An exchange of words soon escalated into a violent confrontation, prompting the distressed young boy to call for his father's assistance. Tragically, the situation took a grim turn as the group of boys turned their aggression toward Hanif, assaulting him with bricks. Delhi police swiftly responded to an emergency call and transported Hanif to AIIMS' trauma centre. However, the valiant father succumbed to his injuries and was declared brought dead by medical professionals.
