Delhi, November 2: An eight-year-old boy in Delhi tragically lost his life after being attacked with a brick by a man when the child resisted a sexual assault attempt. Police were alerted on October 31 to the discovery of a young boy's body at an under-construction building in Shaheen Bagh. The victim, a resident of Abul Fazal Enclave, was rushed to AllMS, where he was pronounced dead.
After reviewing CCTV footage, police identified the accused as Fida Hussain, who was seen with the boy en route to the building. Hussain, a resident of the Jamia area, was later arrested. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed, admitting his intent to have sex with the child. The incident comes days after a man and his nephew were shot dead while celebrating Diwali outside their house in Delhi's Shahdara on Thursday. A 17-year-old boy, who hired the shooter over a money dispute, has been detained, the police said.
The incident occurred in Shahdara's Farsh Bazar area around 8 pm and was caught on CCTV. In the video, the man, 44-year-old Akash Sharma, his nephew, Rishabh Sharma (16), and son, Krish Sharma (15), were seen bursting firecrackers on the narrow road outside their house.
