New Delhi, July 18: As many has 13 buffaloes, 2 calves and 2 cows died on Wednesday night in the national capital. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Najafgarh area after the roof of the tin shelter collapsed due to torrential rains last night. After a long dry spell, Delhi and its adjoining regions such as Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Noida received heavy showers accompanied by thundershower activities. On Thursday, parts of Delhi received rainfall in the morning giving much-needed respite to the people from the humidity. The heavy downpour brought the temperature down by several notches. The weather agency added saying that the weather activities will reduce in the next few days. Also. dry weather will once again take over entire Delhi and NCR area by July 20-21, the Skymet forecast said. On Wednesday, the heavy downpour water-logged several areas including Ashok Vihar, Sangam Vihar, Mahipalpur, Mehrauli, Karol Baug and Munirka, among other areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said there is forecast of thunderstorm in the coming days along with light rains and the temperature is expected to hover between 25-33 degrees Celsius.
