Delhi, April 4: Delhi police Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Ajay Kumar allegedly committed suicide in Delhi on Thursday, according to a news agency ANI. The incident happened after Kumar allegedly jumped in front of the train at Jahangirpuri metro station. No suicide note was recovered from the deceased. According to reports, as soon as the train arrived, he suddenly jumped in front of the metro and died on the spot.
The reason which had forced Kumar to take this extreme step is not yet known. The body has been sent to post-mortem. Security personnel posted at the metro station informed the police. Police said that Ajay Kumar was posted in the Delhi Police's Communication Department. An investigation has been launched in the suicide case. Ajay Kumar lived in Delhi's Narela area. Meanwhile, earlier last month, on March 22, metro services in Blue Line were disrupted briefly after a girl jumped in front of a train at Noida sector 16 station. "Delay in service between Noida Electronic City and Dwarka Sector 21 after a girl jumped in front of an approaching train at Noida sector-16 heading towards Dwarka at around 10.45 am," a DMRC spokesperson said.
