New Delhi, March 22: Security officials outside the Pakistan High Commission detained one person on Friday. He was apprehended amid the ongoing celebration of Pakistan National Day - also referred to as Pakistan Resolution Day in Islamabad - at their embassy in the national capital.
The detention of at least one individual was confirmed by news agency ANI. The identity of the detainee was yet to be reported. He has been taken into custody for interrogation, an official privy to the matter said. India Won't Send Any Representatives For Pak Event: MEA.

The Pakistan Resolution Day event was boycotted by the Indian government. breaking the decades-old norm, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) decided not send any representative to the Pakistan High Commission, as they had invited the separatist leaders of Kashmir.
"The decision was taken after Pakistan High Commission decided to call Hurriyat leader to the reception. In February we were very clear, any attempt by Pakistan High Commission or Pakistani leadership to engage with Hurriyat leaders will not be taken lightly," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.
While the Pakistan Resolution Day is celebrated on March 23, the Pakistan embassy decided to organise its event a day earlier, on March 22.
