New Delhi, December 3: In a tragic incident, one fruit vendor was killed and another person was injured on Sunday after an over speeding car hit their cart near Ganpati Chowk in Delhi's Dwarka. The incident took place at 11:30 pm yesterday. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot along with the car. According to some reports, after loading their cart from the nearby vegetable market, the vendors were pushing it when a speeding vehicle lost its control and rammed to the cart. One of the vendors died on the spot; While, another was taken to nearby hospital. Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the unknown accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code(IPC).

Earlier in a similar incident from November 13, an Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) died after being hit by a truck in Delhi's Dhaula Kuan area. The officer was rushed to the hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to injuries during surgery. Meanwhile, the truck driver was arrested and a case was registered against him.
