New Delhi, February 25: Rebel Aam Aadmi Party MLA Kapil Mishra on Sunday sparked controversy for his poem, which he posted on his official twitter handle. In the video, Mishra declared war against traitors for their anti-nation comments. In the clip, he sings "PM Modiji, you look after the enemies who are in neighbouring countries, while people will drag traitors, within India, out their homes onto the streets." In the video, Rebel MLA has issued a chilling warning against veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah and Kamal Hassan, Swara Bhaskar, journalist Barkha Dutt, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu and activist Shehla Rashid.
In the video, Mishra said, "Some Barkha (Dutt) tries to shift the attention away from Pulwama terror attack. Some Swara (Bhaskar) tries to defame the country. Some Naseeruddin (Shah) says that the country is reeling under terror. In the next stance, Mishra shifts his attack to Kamal Hassan, Prashant Bhushan, and Shehla Rashid. "Some Kamal Hassan talks over plebiscite while Shehla every day spreads anti-national news every day. (Prashant) Bhushan, who gets the court to work in at night and this (Navjot Singh) Sidhu, who lectures for peace even in the battleground. The 2.18-minute clip posted on Twitter has attained to gain over 85,100 views. Reacting to rebel MLA's threat of violence, Shehla tagged IPS officer Madhur Verma and wrote: "Dear @IPSMadhurVerma Ji, this person who has a huge following and is an MLA from Delhi, is giving an open, emotive call to people to enter our homes, drag us to the streets and lynch us." Journalist Barkha Dutt, in a tweet, requested Twitter to scrap Mishra's account and a jail term for him.

Shehla in an another posted tweeted a circular of Department of Telecommunications against the video uploaded by Kapil Mishra. In the letter, it is said that the video is self-explanatory and violates the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and IT Act.

Meanwhile, author Prerna Bakshi, in a tweet, said that Mishra should be behind bars for inciting violence, riots and lynching. Rebel MLA clarified himself and wrote, " I have only written a poem but people are abusing me, giving threats. Those who think stone pelters are innocent, Jihadi's are victims. They will think that I'm reciting violence."

However, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has supported Kapil Mishra and posted a satirical Twitter post. "Hey @BDUTT and @Shehla_Rashid immediately write to Delhi Police, Pakistan Police, Chinese police and Jack to arrest (Late) Kavi Pradip, Maana Dey and Rajendra Kumar for this song. I am surprised how did they know? Did @KapilMishra_IND inform them?," Agnihotri wrote.

This is not a first time that Misha is in news for controversy. Earlier, a few days ago, Mishra involved in a Twitter spat with Swara Bhaskar after AAP MLA posted a sexist and derogatory comment about her.
