New Delhi, July 5: The Delhi Metro Violet Line service was disrupted on Thursday after a portion of boundary wall collapsed on a coach of a train near Lajpat Nagar. According to reports, a major tragedy was averted as the railing wall fell on a coach of the train between Lajpat Nagar and Jangpura Metro Station. The trains on violet line remained halted due to the incident, causing delays in services.
The incident has led to disruption of Violent Line service. The route near Lajpat Nagar has been blocked. Delhiites took to Twitter to inform about the incident asking people to avoid the Violet Line route.

Angry commuters also took to Twitter saying there was no information about any delay even as people kept waiting for trains on stations on the Violet Line route.
The incident occurred amid heavy rains in Delhi. The rains are expected to continue till the night.
