New Delhi, August 15: A technical problem led to the disruption of regular train services of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on the Blue Line on Thursday. Due to the technical snag, services of the Delhi Metro were delayed between Dwarka and Rajiv Chowk metro stations. Following restoration work, services resumed at around 3:30 pm.
In a tweet, DMRC announced: "Due to a technical issue, train services will be run in following loops temporarily: 1) Between Janakpuri West & Dwarka Sec 21. 2) Between Noida Electronic City & Rajouri Garden." "Passengers can use the Magenta Line from Janakpuri West or Botanical Garden to reach Dwarka or Noida," it added.
The Delhi Metro's Blue Line connects Dwarka Sector 21 with Noida Electronic City and Vaishali. Blue Line is the busiest route in the Delhi Metro network. Earlier this month, services on the Blue Line were delayed on Tuesday night after a passenger allegedly attempted suicide at Dwarka Mor station.
A PCR call was received about a man allegedly attempting suicide by jumping on the tracks. He was rushed to the DDU hospital. Following the incident, there was a brief delay in services on a section of the Delhi Metro's Blue Line.
