Delhi: Man With Knife Tries to Barge Into Kerala House Where Pinarayi Vijayan Was Present; Watch Video
A man wielding a knife in hand managed to enter the Kerala House in New Delhi. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was also present inside the house during the time of the incident.
New Delhi, August 4: In an incident of a major security breach, a man wielding a knife in hand managed to enter the Kerala House in New Delhi. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was also present inside the house during the time of the incident. The man is identified as Vimalraj, an Alappuzha native. He was immediately stopped by the security officials present at the Kerala House and was handed over to the police. According to reports, the man was 80% mentally unstable and has been sent to Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied.
The incident took place at around 9.45 am. The person with a knife in hand came near the chief minister's room in the Kerala House. The security officials get hold of him before he could reach Vijayan's room. The police are investigating the incident.

There have been death threats to the Vijayan’s life earlier. Last year a Rashtriya Sawamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Kundan Chandrawat had declared a bounty of Rs 1 crore on the chief minister’s head. However, the RSS strongly condemned and dissociated itself from the controversial statement. Following the criticism, Chandrawat withdrew his remark expressing regret.
