New Delhi, August 23: A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed eight times in his chest and abdomen following a fight over Rs 500 in the national capital. Reports inform that the incident took place in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri on Tuesday night and the man who murdered was on bail in a robbery case. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the deceased was murdered just a day before his wedding anniversary on Eid-ul-Zuha. The report further informs that the deceased was a tailor and has been identified as Shahrukh Khan, a resident of block 21 in Kalyanpuri.

Details by Police inform that the deceased had purchased a phone for Rs 500 from the suspect, Khalid Mohammad (24). The brawl between the two took place after Khan came to know that the phone was a stolen one and asked Mohammad to return his money. After argument turned violent, Mohammad took out a knife and stabbed him eight times in his chest. As the victim screamed for help, the suspects fled from the spot.

Mohammad was accompanied by his 17-year-old brother and friend, Mukesh Kumar (23). Soon after the incident, police caught the suspect and his minor brother within hours as they were planning to run away. The report further informs that another suspect was arrested early on Wednesday. The brutal incident came to light after Khan’s sister Shabnoor heard some noise and came out to check what it was all about. She found Khan lying on the ground and then called up the police.

According to the HT report, Khan was being rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Deputy commissioner of police (east), Pankaj Kumar Singh was quoted in the report saying that a case of murder was registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and raids were conducted to nab the suspects.
