Delhi, July 26: In a shocking case, a man in Delhi hired a contractual killer and gifted him an expensive Beretta pistol to kill his wife's alleged lover. The gun was given as payment, police said to Hindustan Times. The man suspected that his wife was in an alleged relationship with a businessman in his society so he hired the killer to kill him. Cops have arrested the killer from Najafgarh in southwest Delhi and recovered the Beretta pistol, which costs nearly Rs 6 lakh. According to the Hindustan Times report, Kulveer Dagar fired at the businessman when he was standing at his balcony at Hari Nagar but the bullet hit the window and diverted the way.
Based on the businessman's complaint, a case was registered and an empty shell was recovered from the incident spot. Initially, a case was registered without any suspect as the businessman was not having any rivalry.
The crime branch zeroed Dagar’s involvement in the case and a trap was laid to arrest him, reported Hindustan Times. He was caught near Deepali Chowk bus stop and a pistol with two bullets were confestigated from him. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and revealed that he was hired by Sonu Pandit to kill the person.
Dagar said that he met Pandit a month ago and planned to kill the person a few days later. While Dagar was supposed to kill the businessman, Pandit left for Haridwar for Kanwar Yatra to avoid any suspicion. Dagar tried but failed to complete the mission. Meanwhile, Pandit is reportedly in Uttarakhand's Haridwar and a search operation has been launched to nab him.
