Delhi: Man Edits Flight Ticket to Get Entry Into IGI Airport’s Terminal 3 to See Off Mother, Arrested
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) arrested the man after the officials found the man roaming suspiciously in the check-in area of T-3. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the man, identified as Ubaid Lal, was handed over to the Delhi Police and a case of cheating and criminal trespassing was registered against him.
New Delhi, September 9: In a bizarre incident, a man in Delhi allegedly edited his flight ticket to gain entry into the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) airport to see off his mother who was travelling to Srinagar. Reports inform that the incident took place at the airport’s Terminal-3 (T-3) on Saturday. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) arrested the man after the officials found him roaming suspiciously in the check-in area of T-3. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the man, identified as Ubaid Lal, was handed over to the Delhi Police and a case of cheating and criminal trespassing was registered against him. The report further informs that around 10.55 am on Saturday, the CISF personnel conducted an inquiry and found that Lal had entered the terminal by showing an edited ticket of a flight to Srinagar. After the incident was reported, the man was interrogated where he admitted to have committed the crime.
The HT report further adds that the CISF officials also caught a British national who had allegedly entered the terminal showing a cancelled ticket. A man identified as Raj Dhonota, a Briton, was spotted at the check-in area of the terminal. After an inquiry, it was learnt that Dhonota had entered the terminal by showing a cancelled ticket and said he had entered the terminal to see off his wife and son. The man was later handed over to Delhi Police.
