Gurugram, November 2: In a shocking incident, a 50-year-old man was attacked and injured by two minors after he refused to give them INR 10 for cigarettes near Azadpur metro station in Delhi's Model Town. The incident occurred on Friday night, November 1, when the man, originally from Bihar's Buxar, was sitting in a park near the metro station.
According to a report published by AmarUjala, the victim has been identified as Rambachan. As per the police records, the two minors approached Rambachan and demanded money for cigarettes. When he refused, they harassed him, leading to Rambachan slapping one of them. The minors left the scene but returned shortly after and attacked Rambachan with a knife. Rambachan, who works in a factory in Azadpur, sustained injuries and was admitted to a nearby hospital. The police, using CCTV video, identified and arrested the two minors involved in the attack. In another incident, an eight-year-old boy was killed in Delhi when he was hit on his head with a brick by a man after he resisted his attempt to sexually assault him. Police received information about the body of a boy aged seven to eight lying in an under-construction building in Shaheen Bagh on October 31. The minor, a resident of Abul Fazal Enclave, was taken to AIIMS after the police found him, but he was declared dead. The accused, Fida Hussain, was arrested after the police identified him through CCTV footage.
