Delhi, May 5: In a shocking incident in Delhi, a school-going student was physically and sexually assaulted by his classmates in the national capital. The alleged incident came to light after the Delhi police confirmed the incident. The victim, a Class 8 boy, was reportedly hospitalised for nearly a month after the horrific incident took place with him.

According to a report in NDTV, the student came back home nearly a month after he was beaten and sexually harassed by his peers. Victim's Mother Recalls Traumatic Incident

However, his mother said that the incident came to light when he was rushed to the hospital for stomach pain. It is at the hospital that the boy's ordeal was learned about. The woman said that her son narrated the ordeal of the assault to them after he regained consciousness following surgery at the hospital.

Recalling the traumatic event, the woman said that her son's classmates first beat him up and later took off his clothes. She also said that they inserted a stick inside him, which led to his intestine being damaged. The Class 8 student, who was terrified by the assault, kept quiet for nearly 10 days until he complained of stomach pain, which eventually led to the incident. Doctors who performed the surgery said the student would need another surgery after three months. They said that several internal organs of the students were damaged in the alleged assault. Meanwhile, the student's mother has sought a CBI probe in connection with the incident.
