Delhi High Court to Hear Plea on Probe into Jamia Millia Islamia Violence Over Citizenship Amendment Act

The Delhi High Court will hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Thursday seeking constitution of a fact finding committee to probe the incidents of violence at Jamia Millia Islamia during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

New Delhi, December 18: The Delhi High Court will hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Thursday seeking constitution of a fact finding committee to probe the incidents of violence at Jamia Millia Islamia during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Jamia Millia Islamia Violence: 7-8 Students Pelted Stones From Inside Campus, Say Delhi Police; Three Students Named in FIR.

The plea also sought medical assistance to those injured in the violence. The matter was mentioned before a division bench of the court presided by Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice C. Harishankar who agreed to hear the matter on Thursday.
