New Delhi, November 3: In a landmark achievement by AAP’s Delhi Government, 30 students from Delhi’s government schools have landed in Paris to pursue an advanced French course at the prestigious Alliance Française de Paris. Students of Delhi Government schools in grades 9 to 12 —many of whom are first-generation school-goers—embark on an extraordinary educational journey that highlights AAP Government's commitment to transforming education for the underprivileged and creating equal opportunities for all.

Expressing his pride and joy, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal shared on his X handle (formerly Twitter): “30 children from Delhi government schools are in Paris today to pursue an advanced course in French. No one had ever imagined that a child from a poor family studying in a government school would go abroad to study. This is nothing less than a dream.” Delhi: Directorate of Education Issues Guidelines for Implementing 10 ‘Bagless Days’ in National Capital Schools for Students of Classes Six to Eight.

The AAP Supremo emphasized the revolutionary impact of this achievement, stating, “In 10 years, we have achieved what people used to call impossible. We are giving every child of Delhi all the opportunities that were available only to children of rich and wealthy families till now. Together with the people of Delhi, we will take this revolution to such heights that no one would have even imagined.”

A Pioneering Program for Delhi’s Students

From November 4th to 15th, these students will undertake the A2 level French course, an immersive experience that includes living with host families, visiting cultural landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, and exploring Disneyland. The program, facilitated by the French Embassy in India, is a culmination of the AAP's Delhi Government’s partnership with Alliance Française to integrate French language learning into its schools. Through this initiative, students are gaining an in-depth understanding of the French language, culture, and society, empowering them with a global perspective. This immersion program is part of a broader effort by the Delhi Government to bridge educational divides.

A New Era in Public Education

This visionary initiative underscores Delhi government's commitment to educational equity. For the first time, students from government schools are realizing dreams traditionally reserved for privileged circles, embarking on a journey that redefines what’s possible.
