New Delhi, November 2: Several lawyers were injured after a scuffle broke out between Delhi Police and lawyers at Tis Hazari court in the national capital on Saturday. According to a tweet by ANI, an incident of firing has also been reported from the area where the brawl took place. A police vehicle was also set ablaze by the angry advocates, Police said.
As soon as the incident was reported, the injured lawyers were rushed to the St Stephen's Hospital and were admitted there for treatment, a tweet by ANI stated. Locals reported that gunshots were heard during a scuffle. Media reports stated that several cars were also set on fire in broad daylight.
As soon as the incident was reported, Police rushed to the spot to take a stock of the situation. As per media reports, the lawyers also accused the police of firing at them. Delhi Police to Launch Emergency Helpline Number 112 in Place of 100, 101 and 102 For Immediate Assistance.

As per a latest update by ANI, a vehicle has also been set ablaze at the premises during the scuffle between the lawyers and Police. The cause of the heated argument is yet to be ascertained. However, according to a report by India Today, the incident took place when workers of the Indian Youth Congress were protesting outside the residence of Union Minister Giriraj Singh against Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the inclusion of dairy sector in RCEP.
