Delhi Fire: Two Children Dead After Blaze Engulfs Four-Storey Building at Shaheen Bagh Area

In a yet another incident of the deadly blaze reported from the national capital, two people lost their after a massive fire broke out in a four-storey building in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area on Tuesday.

Delhi, March 26: In a yet another incident of the deadly blaze reported from the national capital, two children lost their after a massive fire broke out in a four-storey building in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area on Tuesday. Reports inform that fire broke out today afternoon. According to some reports scores of people have been injured.

In the wake of the massive blaze, residents from buildings have been evacuated. Two kids who were rescued from the fire and hastened to the nearby Holy Family hospital were brought declared dead.

"It is a four-storey building. The family used to reside on the ground floor while the furniture store was functioning from the basement," a senior police official said. The visuals from the event spot of the fire were shared by news agency ANI, which also tweeted pictures from the relief operations. Earlier on Sunday, a similar fire broke out at the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) Trauma centre. In the fire, no casualties were reported but the fire was huge that people were evacuated from the spot. To douse the blaze that erupted on the ground floor of the government building, four fire engines were pressed into action.
