New Delhi, December 24: A massive fire broke in two factories in Delhi due to a cylinder blast on Tuesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the blaze engulfed a shoe factory in Outer Delhi's Narela industrial area, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said. Reports inform that flames have been doused in one of the factories while fire fighting operations are underway at the other. No casualties have been reported so far.

Several media reports state that as many as 28 fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the massive blaze. Several are reported to be feared trapped. The fire tenders have brought the fire under control and rescue operation are underway.

On Monday, nine people died while two others were severely injured in a massive fire at a cloth godown in Delhi's Kirari area. The incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
