New Delhi, June 7: A major fire broke out at a storeroom on the fourth floor of Jeevan Deep building near Parliament Street on Friday. Soon after the incident seven fire tenders rushed to the site and have launched the rescue mission.

According to the reports, around 50 people have been evacuated from the site and nearby buildings have also been cordoned. Though no reports of injuries to any persons have been reported as of yet, fire fighting officials are trying their best to douse the fire. More details are awaited. Earlier to fire broke out in a building of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) building at Connaught Place in the national capital on June 1. According to the news agency ANI, the fire was reported on the second floor of the building, following which 6 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

Last month, a fire was reported from a plastic factory near a mall in outer Delhi's Bawana Industrial Area, following which 30 fire tenders were rushed.
