New Delhi, December 27: A fire has broken out in a building at Sadar Bazar area of Delhi. Rescue operations are currently underway. A total of six fire tenders are present at the spot. It is the second incident of fire in the national capital in two days. On Thursday, a fire broke out in a building in Krishna Nagar area of East Delhi at around 2:10 am. Fire tenders reached the spot and rescued around 40 people. Plastic materials were stored on the ground floor of the four-storey building.
On December 23, nine people were killed after a massive blaze ripped through a three-storey residential-cum-commercial building in outer Delhi's Kirari area. The incident came days after 43 people were killed in a massive fire in a four-storey building housing illegal manufacturing units in north Delhi's congested Anaj Mandi area on December 8.
