Delhi, June 1: A fire broke out in a building of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) building at Connaught Place in the national capital on Saturday, Delhi Fire Service officials said. According to the news agency ANI, the fire was reported on the second floor of the building, following which 6 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire-fighting operations are on. Till the time this article was published, no injuries or casualty were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The fire incidents are common in Delhi. On May 29, nearly fifty girls were evacuated after a blaze erupted out in a girls hostel near West Delhi's Janakpuri metro station. Six of them were taken to the nearby hospital due to the problem in inhaling caused by smoke inhalation. The fire broke out from an electric panel at the basement. No casualties were reported in the incident.
