Delhi Fire: One CISF Personnel Dead During Firefighting Operations After Blaze Engulfs 5th Floor of Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at CGO Complex

New Delhi, March 6: A massive fire broke out at the at CGO Complex in  national capital on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the blaze was reported from the 5th floor of Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at CGO Complex. As soon as the incident was reported, 24 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. According to the fire department, CISF Inspector who got unconscious in the fire incident today has passed away. The incident comes days after a massive fire at Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh claimed 17 lives. Days after the incident,  Rakesh Goel, the owner of Hotel Arpit Palace, was arrested in connection with a massive fire.

On March 1, a massive fire broke out at a cosmetics factory in Sangam Park on Friday, the Delhi Fire Service said. No injury or casualty was reported from the incident.

In February, a massive fire was reported from a commercial building in west Delhi's Naraina. According to details by Delhi Fire Service, a call was received after which 23 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No causality was reported. Reports said that the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

In the wake of the rising fire cases in the national capital, the Delhi government has intensified its drive against errant hotels and have cancelled the fire safety certificates of 27 establishments for various violations in Karol Bagh area, where a massive fire at a hotel killed 17 people.
