Delhi, December 23: At least nine people died while two others were severely injured in a massive fire at a cloth godown in Delhi's Kirari area, news agency ANI reported. The incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The blaze has been doused and the injured have been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital and other nearby hospitals. The incident took place around 12:30 am. Reports say that the godown was located on the ground floor of the three-storey building. The building had only one single staircase and no fire equipment. Earlier this month, 43 people lost their lives in a major fire tragedy at Anaj Mandi factory in Delhi. 16-20 people were also injured in the incident. According to reports, around 70 people were sleeping inside the factory when the fire broke out.
