New Delhi, September 27: In a shocking incident of crime, a woman who was upset with her husband for marrying again, killed his infant child from his second wife. According to a Hindustan Times report, a cloth was used to gag the one-month-old child, and after committing the crime, she hid the infant's body between a pile of clothes.

The incident came to the light after the accused's six-year-old daughter told his father that the infant was last seen with his mother. It then took the Police a few minutes to solve the case and the woman also admitted to killing the baby. The woman married her husband around seven years ago. Together, the couple has three children. Around a year ago, her husband had visited Bihar for some work and returned with a 23-year-old woman who he said he had married. The man arranged separate residences for his two wives, but they were in the same neighbourhood.

The accused was angry that her husband gave more time to his second wife and therefore when the latter gave birth to a son, she was angry and therefore decided to kill the child.  The woman has also claimed that she was a month pregnant, but Police is yet to find out the authenticity of these claims.
