Delhi, September 25: A shocking incident of lawlessness has been scaring the national capital, a 45-year-old property dealer was shot dead by an assailant in broad daylight. The incident took place on Tuesday evening in West Delhi's Dwarka area. The CCTV footage of the episode has been going viral, which shows how a residential area can turn into a shooting range. The victim has been identified as Narender alias Nintey, who had contested 2012 civic body’s elections as an independent candidate. The CCTV footage retrieved by Delhi Police shows an armed man, who hid his face with helmet, approaches the victims' vehicle and starts firing.

In an attempt to save his life, Narender tries to drive away but is locked by the armed assailant. Trapped inside, Narender tries to run out only to be shot at by attacker. Later, he was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
According to reports, the attacker fired 7-8 rounds, of which three bullets hit the victim. According to primary investigations, the attack was a result of a rivalry between the two groups over the property dispute,
Meanwhile, a case has been registered under section Section 302 (murder) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code). A probe into the matter is underway. Cops are scanning the CCTV to identify the accused.
