New Delhi, December 20: Flight operations at Delhi Airport continue to remain affected on Friday morning as well. Owing to bad weather and crew operational limitations, several flights are affected in the national capital. Passengers brace yourself for flight delays and long queues at the airport.

The massive protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act on Thursday, not only disrupted road traffic but also led flights from the IGI Airport getting delayed. The light and cabin crew were stuck in massive traffic snarls. The alarming situation led various airlines to announce waiver of cancellation charges. The mercury dropped to 5.2 degrees celsius — three degrees below normal. The maximum temperature hovered around 15 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal. Thursday was the third ‘severe cold day’ of the week, according to the readings at Delhi’s main weather station, Safdarjung. The dense fog leads to poor visibility as a result of which, flight operations get affected.

Several flights like Air India, SpiceJet and others announced on Thursday that for no-show or cancellation and refund charges for all domestic and international tickets for travel from Delhi on December 19, 2019, shall be waived off.
