According to an ANI tweet, Amod Kanth founder of 'Prayas' NGO defended his organisation's action by saying, "Because of the pollution, we reduced the run duration. It was symbolic run. Real program is children's day cultural event for which children were preparing for months. We didn’t know about this air quality emergency until yesterday."

Twitterati expressing their anger:

Demands strict action against the NGO:

There seems to be no respite for people in the city as an increase in stubble burning in neighbouring states has furthered worsened the situation. In a bid to curb the rising pollution, Delhi government introduced the odd-even scheme. There was, however, relaxation in the rules on of Guru Nanak Jayanti, for two days.
