Delhi Air Pollution: AQI Remains in 'Poor' Category in Lodhi Road, CM Arvind Kejriwal Urges Neighbouring States to Reduce Pollution

Delhi, October 15: The air quality in the city has been deteriorating every day and there are no signs of any improvement. According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data, major pollutants PM 2.5 at 232 and PM 10 at 233 both in 'Poor' category, in Lodhi Road area. Days after announcing the third odd-even exercise, CM Arvind Kejriwal has urged the neighbouring states to reduce pollution.

He was quoted as saying by ANI, Kejriwal said, "In the last four months, Delhi’s air quality has been in ‘Good’ category. The smoke coming from outside is increasing pollution levels again. Request all state governments to also take measures. Researches and media reports state pollution levels to increase from the last week-October to mid-November." Delhi government on Saturday blamed crop burning in the neighbouring states as the reason for the air pollution. With winters approaching, 'poor' air quality becomes a usual affair for people in the city every year after Dusshera and with the start of the stubble burning season in the neighbouring states.
