Delhi Air Pollution: AQI Hovers Between 'Severe' And 'Very Poor' Category in Several Areas

SAFAR has asked people to keep their windows closed and have their asthma medicines in handy. Citizens have been asked to avoid outdoor activities, including morning walks and stop doing any activities if they feel discomforts like coughing, chest pain and breathing troubles.

New Delhi, January 3:The air quality has not shown any signs of improvement and is hovering between 'severe' and 'very poor' category on Friday. According to Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) data, AQI was at 418 in the 'severe' category in Anand Vihar, at 372 in 'very poor' category in RK Puram, and at 429 in 'severe' category in Rohini.

The major pollutants PM 2.5 at 302 was in 'very poor' category & PM 10 at 283 in 'poor category' in Lodhi Road area, according to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data. Delhi Air Pollution: Air Quality Remains in 'Severe' Category on the First Day of 2020.
