The minor who died in the incident was identified as Prince Raj while another person, Mahender, was injured while entering the residence. The wounded was taken to the nearby hospital, where, he was stated to be out of danger. The family of the deceased boy lives on rent at the gym owner's flat. A police enquiry revealed that four people of JJ colony were behind the attack. A case has been registered against the accused and a manhunt has been launched. Earlier, last year, a 20-year-old was shot dead during the Valmiki Jayanti procession in Central Delhi on October 26. According to reports, the victim, identified as Avinash Sangwan, had allegedly mocked one of the accused. Avinash had mocked the dance steps of a stranger, later the man came with two of his friends and shot Avinash.
