Death Threat to Ram Nath Kovind: Kerala Priest Arrested For Informing Police That President Would be Killed

A priest in Kerala has been arrested after he issued a death threat to President Ram Nath Kovind.

Thiruvananthapuram, August 6: A priest in Kerala has been arrested after he issued a death threat to President Ram Nath Kovind. Jayaraman, a priest of Chirakkal Bhagavathi temple in Thrissur had informed the police control room that Kovind would be killed.

President Kovind had arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday on a three-day visit to Kerala. He will inaugurate the 'Festival of Democracy' to mark the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Legislative Assembly on Monday.

On Tuesday, he will be visiting the Guruvayur temple. Security has been beefed up in Kerala after the death threat was issued to President Kovind.
