Death of 36 Cows in Delhi Gaushala To be Probed; State Government Orders Enquiry
The Delhi government has ordered an enquiry into the incident of death of 36 cows in last two days in a Gaushala in Chhawla area.
New Delhi, July 27: The Delhi government has ordered an enquiry into the incident of death of 36 cows in last two days in a Gaushala in Chhawla area. The government has sought a report within 24 hours. A team of veterinary doctor are conducting an enquiry into the cause of death. They will also conduct a postmortem of all the dead cows.
The Delhi Police said that it would take legal action once the post-mortem report is published. As many as 36 cows were found dead in a gaushala (cow shelter) in the national capital. According to reports, around 1,400 cows are staying in the shelter. It is suspected that the cows died from an outbreak of some disease.
The police were informed about the death of 36 cows around 12:30 pm on Friday. After getting the news, a team of veterinary doctors immediately rushed to the spot. Rainwater was also found accumulated in and around the shelter.
