Leh, September 1: In an unfortunate incident in Ladakh, a man from Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar allegedly died in Ladakh due to "oxygen deficiency". The alleged incident is said to have taken place on Thursday, August 30, in Ladakh's Leh. The 27-year-old man, identified as Chinmay Sharma, was reportedly on a solo bike trip when he passed away in the Union Territory.

According to a report in the Times of India, Sharma allegedly died in Ladakh's capital, Leh, after his health condition deteriorated due to "oxygen deficiency". It is reported that the techie's health worsened as he faced oxygen deficiency in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh. The report also stated that the young man was working at a digital marketing company in Noida. On Thursday, August 22, Sharma embarked on his solo trip to Ladakh. Four days after he began his trip to the Union Territory, Sharma informed his father, Parag Sharma, about his headache. His father advised him to get rest and medical attention.

Later in the day, Sharma once again told his parents about him facing difficulty in breathing. The doctors at the hospital told Sharma's parents that Chinmay died due to low oxygen levels in the high-altitude region. Sharma was cremated in Muzaffarnagar on Friday.
