DDA E-Auction For Commercial Plots: Delhi Development Authority To Launch Online Scheme to Sell Shops on First-Come-First-Serve Basis
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved a proposal to launch an online scheme for 225 commercial built-up properties on a first-come-first-serve basis. For the first time, DDA has also introduced a reserved category for the e-auctions only for shops, where even ex-servicemen can also apply.
New Delhi, August 14: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA)has approved a proposal to launch an online scheme for 225 commercial built-up properties on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to an article on Live Mint, the decision was taken during an authority meeting of the urban body at the Raj Niwas. Most of these units are located in Rohini, Narela, and East, West and South Zones of the DDA. The scheme will run until the entire inventory included under the scheme is disposed of. All information pertaining to the available shops with tentative size, location and tentative cost will be available on the DDA website.
According to the statement issued by DDA, after selecting a specific unit online, the applicant is required to deposit token money of 10 percent of the cost within 30 minutes, and till the expiry of 30 minutes, the unit will not be available for selection by others.
The e-auction for the residential and commercial plots is scheduled on September 11, the one for the institutional and industrial plots will be on September 12. For the first time, DDA has also introduced a reserved category for the e-auctions only for shops, where even ex-servicemen can also apply.
The first phase of e-auction of vacant residential, commercial, industrial and institutional plots were conducted by the DDA in January. It received over Rs 900 crore through the first phase and in the fourth phase that was conducted last month, the urban body received 72 bids for 80 residential plots which were on offer.
