Darvesh Yadav, UP Bar Council's 1st Female President, Shot Dead in Agra Court Premises

Agra, June 12: The President of UP Bar Council, Darvesh Yadav, was shot dead on Thursday. The senior barrister was reportedly assassinated by one of her colleagues inside the court premises. The attacker has shot himself as well. On rushing both to the hospital, Darvesh was declared dead, while the attacker has sustained injuries.

Eyewitnesses have told reporters that the attacker is Advocate Manish Sharma, who was present with the deceased inside the chambers of Advocate Arvind Kumar Mishra. The UP Police has initiated an inquiry into the case. "A thorough probe would be conducted into the incident. Officials have been instructed to begin an investigation," said Ajay Anand, ADG, Agra.
